Two awards for Vadim Jendreyko in Yamagata

Vadim Jendreyko’s multi-award-winning film “Die Frau mit den 5 Elefanten” was honoured with two awards at the 12th Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival in Japan.

Vadim Jendreyko’s multi-award-winning film “Die Frau mit den 5 Elefanten” was honoured with two awards at the 12th Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival in Japan.

The jury of the International Competition, presided over by the eminent Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan, presented the Award of Excellence personally to Vadim Jendreyko for his film. In addition to this prestigious award, which honoured Fernand Melgar for his film "La Forteresse" in 2009, Vadim Jendreyko was presented the Citizen's Prize. The Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival (October 6-13, 2011) is only held every two years and is considered to be the most important festival for non-fiction films in Asia.
