Un hôpital ne dort jamais. En tant qu’institution permanente l’hôpital rappelle à ses citoyens qu’il y aura toujours quelqu’un pour vous maintenir en vie. Il représente au sein de notre société moderne la trace du mythe de la vie éternelle dont le traumatologue en détient les clefs. Il a carte blanche. Portrait tragique d’un traumatologue mettant en œuvre la totalité de ses propres moyens techniques et d’imagination afin de libérer ses patients du cercle de violence dans lequel lui-même est piégé.
