L’ancien avocat de la Fraction Armée Rouge ARF, et l’un des acteurs clés des émeutes de l’opéra de Zurich, déménage à Knezevac, en Serbie, pour y vivre une vie de paysan autarcique. Il devient le chef du centre local de distribution de l’eau et ses relations avec les habitants du cru sont cordiales et empreintes d’humour. Il a, de plus, un cheval auquel il tient à apprendre les bonnes manières. Edmund explique ses opinions et ses analyses de la société. Même si l’on ne peut toujours être d’accord avec lui, il faut bien avouer que son approche est intéressante.
