La graphiste Stefanie traverse une crise de créativité, avec des commandes publicitaires ennuyeuses et un patron qui ne valorise pas son travail. Lors d'une visite au musée, elle est attirée comme par magie par les photomontages satiriques de John Heartfield, collègue de renommée mondiale et opposant au nazisme. C'est alors que le miracle se produit, elle atterrit dans son atelier.
