Quincy, une jeune fille imaginative, passe une enfance paisible avec ses parents. Cependant, lorsque sa mère tombe malade, Quincy doit faire face à des changements dans sa vie. Elle ne comprend pas bien la situation et même après la mort de sa mère, alors qu'elle est confrontée au chagrin de son père, elle ne cesse de voir le monde avec ses yeux naïfs et enfantins.
