Born in 1960 in Darmstadt, Germany. 1981-87 Studies Graphic Design and Film at the HBK (Hochschule für Bildende Künste) Braunschweig. Worked as a freelance animator for the Hessische Rundfunk in Frankfurt. 1988 Moves to London and produces several short animation films. 1990 Back in Hanover, co-founder of Anigraf Filmproduktion. Since 1992 teaches experimental animation at the HBK. In 2000 became a visiting professor in the animation department at the Kunsthochschule Kassel. 2002-12 Head of Animation Department at the HGK (Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst), Luzern.
