Born in 1945 in Borowna, Poland. Graduated from the Polish National Film School in Lodz, Faculty of Cinematography. Director of photography for fiction film and documentaries. Before leaving Poland in 1982, worked as director of photography at National Documentary Film Studio in Warsaw and for various TV stations and international institutions.
