Born in 1951 in Lucerne, Switzerland. Directing seminar with K. Kieslowski; Fernando Pérez at the University of Bern; Screenwriting at the Film Academy New York. 1996 Founding of Ciné A.S. GmbH. She is known for her films focusing on children. Awarded several film prizes. Her first novel “Thirteen is my Number” made it onto the Swiss Bestseller List. Her first feature-length documentary THE CHILDREN FROM MOUNT NAPF (2011) opened the Generation Kplus section at the Berlinale 2012, her last film THE GIRL DOWN LOCH ÄNZI (2016) premiered at IDFA (First Appearance Competition) and screened in competition at Hot Docs among others. In 2021 she wins the Swiss Film Award, Best Film Score, for her documentary BURNING MEMORIES.
