André Bösiger was born in 1913 in the region of Jura close to the villages in which the founders of anarchism, Kropotkin and Bakunin were residing in the 19th century. Already at a very young age he was aware of being something of a rebel. In 1927 he took part in a demonstration in the Jura for Sacco and Vanzetti. At the end of the 1920s he settled in Geneva and became a militant anarcho-syndicalist along with Lucien Tronchet and Louis Bertoni. In 1934 he was sentenced to almost two years in prison because he had no desire to become an “apprentice assassin”. He dedicated his whole life to anarchism and died in the year 2005.
