A utopia, the Olivetti dream, was achieved in the town of Ivrea, where the dream of a community has since been shattered. Did it ever really exist? The filmmaker takes us through an area that was once a fertile land, but now consists of remnants and echoes of a world that once “was” and now “is no more”.
Cosa rimane di un luogo che ha visto realizzarsi al suo interno qualcosa di simile a un’utopia? Anziani nostalgici, giovani incapaci di intravedere un futuro. Ricordi sfumati, sogni infranti. Ciò che rimane tornando nel luogo in cui si è nati, osservando i resti di un passato luminoso, più immaginato che vissuto.
