The film accompanies people who have fallen by the wayside in our society and – in many cases – are shunned by those in their surroundings due to their neediness. An estimated 20% of the population now lives below the poverty level in metropolises in Switzerland. By providing artistic or manual activities and/or new encounters, the CARE organisation in Geneva offers people the opportunity to regain their selfconfidence and zest for life. For many, CARE is a chance to halt the downward spiral and find their way back into society.
