When Lisa, 16, wins a scholarship for an elite boarding school her parents are bursting with pride. She is due to start there in a few weeks, but bad news shatters Lisa’s and her parent’s plans: Lisa is pregnant by her young boyfriend, a foreigner. Lisa’s parents are simple people and have worked hard for their children’s education. They urge Lisa to get an abortion, but she remains steadfast, challenging all concerned to question their own lives’ paths and dreams.
