The setting chosen for this choreography was the swimming pool at Bellerive, Lausanne. A place without a tragic dimension, or gravity. The swimming pool as a space of extreme visibility: a public place where bodies are exposed, naked or almost, where intimacy is on view and where physical proximity is excessively tangible. The place for a theatre of bodies. But also the swimming pool as an area of invisibility: the dancer's body blends in with the bathers, is lost in the crowd, just another body among so many other bodies… Among so many people., the dancers' actions are camouflaged, anodyne, banal … Capturing things as the come. Get across quite simply the duration, the calm, the slightness.
