Chantal Michel has gained a great deal of attention for her outstanding work in the fields of video, photography and performance. Typical of this reclusive artist, whose work is exhibited all over Europe, are the series of pictures in which she stages her own body in various spaces. Her spectacular works are eerily ambiguous and vexing. For two years, the filmmaker accompanied the artist with a camera and created an intimate as well as captivating film that provides us with insight into her attitude towards life and her working processes.
