A portrait of my 81-year-old grandmother, Monique, trying to detach herself from her household, called Clémente. As she sorts, she asks herself: why keep? The rediscovered films by Monique and her mother form a memory that has been passed down over three generations. Through these appearances, she recounts her ideas on femininity, family and freedom. Drawn into the process of sorting out the transmission, I claim the inheritance of her gifts.
