Summer. Two teenage girls enter an uninhabited house. In the attic they discover a large trunk with clothes, photographs, notebooks, letters and a diary kept daily during the German occupation of France from 1940 to 1944. Intrigued and amused, the two young girls dress up and reveal the world of a writer: Monique Saint-Hélier. A Swiss woman who lived as a recluse in WWII Paris. Bedridden and very ill, she writes. And dives into a day-dream. An unexpected journey where the nightmare of her reclusion and of the war give way to the lost paradise of her childhood.
