From the unusual perspective of the a geologist, the viewer experiences the drilling work for the second road tunnel through the Gotthard, which begun in May 2021. On behalf of the canton of Uri, geologist Peter Amacher ensures during the drilling period, which lasts several years, that minerals exposed by the drilling machines on Uri's territory can be secured and researched. We observe Amacher in and outside the tunnel.
I lavori di realizzazione del secondo tunnel della galleria del Gottardo fervono sui due versanti alpini. Centinaia di persone vi lavorano, molte le professioni rappresentate. Tra queste, anche quella di cercatore di cristalli. Sono l’urano Peter Amacher e il ticinese Marco Antognini a svolgere con le loro équipe questa insolita professione. Il loro è un compito particolare e di rilievo, perché lo scavo della galleria è l’occasione per poter portare alla luce importanti cristalli, che si possono scoprire solo nelle viscere della terra, di tipologie anche inedite. Il regista Felice Zenoni e la sua équipe cinematografica hanno ha accompagnato i due geologi nella loro caccia al tesoro per più di due anni, regalandoci uno sguardo raro di quanto succede dentro il San Gottardo.
