When a mission goes badly wrong, a police officer is left fighting for his life after having been shot by an abusive husband. An internal investigation is mounted by the police watchdog, and his colleagues are forced to justify their actions. Did they follow the rules? When the police officers are interrogated, it affects them profoundly, and they are forced to ask themselves fundamental questions.
