The film retraces the trajectory of Fiteiro Cultural (Culture Kiosk), a Public Art work by the Brazilian artist Fabiana de Barros that traveled the world for almost 20 years. Successively turned into a meeting place, a space for artistic or social experimentation, the Fiteiro Cultural is an artwork that depends on the others and of the dreams of use they have of it. Constantly reinvented, modified and displaced, the Fiteiro reflects the characteristics of the contexts in which it is implanted and reveals their strength and contradictions. By retracing 20 years of intense meetings between art and society, the film focuses on Fabiana de Barros’ artistic practice in her search of an ideal form within the boundaries of immateriality.
