At the start of the film, a couple go their seperate ways: he travels to Mexico, in search of adventure. She voyages to India, where she plans to give birth to their child. She doesn't know that he's seriously ill, and he doesn't know that she is pregnant. Set against the background of Mexico's death culture and the Indian Kumbh Mela, this cinematic essay brings together two diametrically opposite stories, completing the cycle of birth, life and death.
