The musicians break with conventions and, by looking beyond the limits of their own tradition, ultimately redefine it. That may not be to everyone’s liking, and yet, after a certain period of time, their influences are established and accepted. These trailblazers, their stories and their instruments - the diatonic button accordion, which originated in Vienna in 1829 - are at the heart of this documentary film .
