In this gripping 1899 drama, based on true events, Adolf Scheuber resorts to illegal hunting to fund his wife's medical treatment. Tempted by a 500 CHF offer for a chamois kill, he embarks on a desperate final hunt. Caught poaching by Walter and Stefan Durrer, Adolf, in a moment of despair, shoots them and flees. Johan, his hunting companion, is reluctantly drawn into the tragedy.
