Rooted in a series of encounters with Norman Skinner in the neighbourhood of Edgecombe Avenue, Harlem, New York. After seeing Skinner walking in pain around the house’s entrance multiple times, Skinner and Aline d'Auria engaged in conversations that grew more and more regular and gave d'Auria the chance to learn the history of the building and Skinner's story. One day, he shared the news that his nephew would leave for the Navy.
