Young Stella’s sudden return from American boarding school and her fervent desire to recover in the country house of her childhood is a welcome opportunity for her mother Maria and stepfather Carl to reconcile with their estranged daughter. But the unexpected appearance of the daughter’s much older new boyfriend Ben significantly disrupts the family intimacy. The remote idyll becomes a nightmare and the scene of a brutal murder.
A cinematic bastard that starts as a family drama, turns into a psychological thriller and ends in horror.
