An essayistic film in four acts about peat as a material of memory – between time, layering, and transformation. Starting from the peatland as a sensitive threshold, the film traces geological, ecological, and cultural trajectories: from the melting of glaciers at the end of the Ice Age to the slow accumulation of organic matter in the Holocene, and finally to the human interventions and technical control attempts of the Anthropocene and our current Technocene.
