Emil lives with his strictly religious mother in a secluded house in the countryside. One morning, Emil and his mother are praying at the breakfast table when his older sister Sophie comes home after a long night. On the same day, they both flee from home. The close bond between the siblings is disrupted by Sophie's boyfriend, Alan, leading to a conflict.
