Forty years ago 2000 people lived there, today Pietrapaola, in Calabria, is home to 200 people. I was born there, the son of two Germans who ended up there, who knows how, I didn’t come back for twenty years. Where are the others? And the stories? A journey to the origins, in search of lost time. My imagination and a man from my past, guardian of memory, of music, guide me. A tale in which symbols and reality meet and I see the art of living, the “tranquillitudine”.

Quarant’anni fa a Pietrapaola, in Calabria, ci vivevano 2000 anime, oggi 200 reduci. Nato qui da due tedeschi che ci sono capitati chissà come, non tornavo da vent’anni. Dove sono finiti tutti? E le storie? Un viaggio alle origini, alla ricerca del tempo perduto. Mi guida la mia immaginazione e un uomo del mio passato, custode di memoria, di musica. Un racconto in cui simboli e realtà si incontrano e vedo l'arte del vivere, la tranquillitudine.
