In 1871 Lucy Walker was the first woman to achiev the feat of climbing the Matterhorn. One hundred and fifty years after the ascent, Marie-France Hendrikx, historian and mountain enthusiast, decided to investigate this largely unknown English woman, who is nevertheless one of the pioneers of mountaineering, and to climb the Matterhorn again, under the same conditions, in the clothes of the time: a skirt.
