It is a fact that many people do not know, Laos holds a sad record: it is the most heavily bombed country in modern history even though it never declared war on other countries. From 1964 up to 1973 American airplanes dropped more than two million explosive devices on Laotian territory while carrying out over 500'000 bombing missions. More than forty years later, the country still bears the heavy burdens of such ruthless and inhumane warfare.
Tra il 1964 ed il 1973, durante la guerra in Vietnam, l’aviazione statunitense effettuò 500.000 missioni sul Laos, scaricando più di 2 milioni di tonnellate di esplosivo. Quarant’anni dopo in quel paese tutto è cambiato ma ogni cosa parla ancora di guerra.
