Stefano Vaglietti, an outsider though born in Switzerland’s capital Berne in 1967, became Swiss amateur boxing champion in the superheavyweight category in 1989 and again in 1991. His career as a boxer introduced him to doping, and heavy drugs. He managed to kick a cocaine habit in 1993. Deep in debt, living on disability insurance and involved in criminal proceedings for good measure, Vaglietti took up training again in 1996. In this film the camera accompanies the ex-champion down the difficult road to rehabilitation as a person and as a sportsman.
