Suspension of applications for distribution support

With immediate effect, applications for Distribution Support can no longer be accepted as of July 23, 2025, until the end of the year.
The Swiss Confederation promotes the global distribution of films made in Switzerland. The Federal Office of Culture FOC finances the export promotion scheme. SWISS FILMS is responsible for its operational implementation.
Due to the high number of applications and commitments, the annual credit of CHF 500 000 was already exceeded at the end of July. In accordance with the prioritization according to the date of submission (art. 9 al. 4 OPICin), the FOC has decided not to accept any new applications in the current year.
Applications submitted until July 22, 2025 will still be processed.
Applications will be accepted again from the beginning of 2026. Subject to approval of the 2026-2028 incentive schemes by the Department of Home Affairs, there will once again be fixed submission deadlines and an evaluation committee responsible for prioritizing applications.
