Festival in Buenos Aires with Swiss participation

At the 9. Buenos Aires Independent International Film Festival (BAFICI), which takes place from April 3 to April 15, 2007, two Swiss films and four minority coproductions will be shown. The multiple-awarded feature film “Das Fraulein” by Andrea Staka (Prod. Dschoint Ventschr, Zürich) and the documentary “The Oil Crash” by Basil Gelpke and Ray McComack (Lava Productions, Zürich, film start German-speaking Switzerland on April 19) will run in the section Panorama, which is dedicated to the international film industry.
“Madonnen” by Maria Speth (Coprod. Cineworx, Basel), “Ça brûle” by Claire Simon (Coprod. Vega Film, Zürich), “Juventude em marcha” by Pedro Costa (Coprod. Ventura Film, Meride) and “Slumming” by Michael Glawogger (Coprod. Dschoint Ventschr) will also be presented in the section Panorama. The BAFICI focuses on the independent film industry and is the second largest event in Argentina after the international film festival of Mar del Plata, which takes place in March.
