21.07.2008

Hugofilm Productions from Zurich will collaborate as a partner with the German production companies, Wüste Film West in Cologne and Constantin in Munich, for the film “Tannöd”. This collaboration thus renders the film by Swiss director Bettina Oberli a co-production between German and Switzerland.
The screenplay, written by Petra Lüschow, was based on the detective story of the same name by Andrea Maria Schenkel. Starring in the leading roles are the distinguished stage and television actress Monica Bleibtreu (64) and the aspirant of German film Julia Jentsch (30). The shooting of the fiction film, estimated at 3.8 million euros, is scheduled from September to November in Sauerland and in Eifel (North Rhine-Westphalia). Hugofilm Productions, which produced Fredi M. Murer’s successful film “Vitus” in 2006, will receive financial support for the film project from the Federal Office of Culture and the Zürcher Filmstiftung. The German Swiss Broadcasting Service (SF) will appear as co-producer.
