No less than six Swiss film productions and coproductions will be screened at the 32nd Moscow International Film Festival (June 17-26, 2010). Christoph Schaub’s comedy “Giulias Verschwinden”, which was honoured with the Audience Prize in Locarno last year, will celebrate its international premiere in the capital city of Russia. The Swiss-Austrian-Hungarian coproduction “Kameramörder” by Robert Adrian Pejo (Cobra Film, Zurich) will participate in the international competition.

Jean-Luc Godard's latest opus "Film Socialisme" (Vega Film, Zurich) will be part of the "New Wave for Ever" programme, in which in "Pierrot le fou", his masterpiece from the sixties will also be screened. Christoph Schaub was already present at last year's festival in Moscow with "Happy New Year" in the international competition of Russia's largest film festival. This year, "Giulias Verschwinden" (T&C Film, Zurich) will be screened in the "Sex. Food. Culture. Glory" section, which comprises five films dealing with bodily pleasures.

The documentary films presented in Moscow - "La forteresse" by Fernand Melgar, "Die Frau mit den 5 Elefanten" by Vadim Jendreyko and the coproduction "Davis Wants to Fly" by David Sievekind - attest to the excellent reputation which Swiss documentary filmmaking enjoys on an international level. The film festival in Moscow, whose jury is presided this year over by French star director Luc Besson, ranks among the 12 A-category international festivals with competition accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Association (FIAPF).
