Grand Prize for “On dirait le sud” in Annonay, France

Vincent Pluss won the Grand Jury Award at the 21st Annonay International First-Time Feature Festival (January 30 – February 9) for his film “On dirait le sud”, with a prize sum of 3,100 Euro going to the French distributor and 1,700 Euro to the director. A jury of high school students bestowed an award of 600 Euro to Alain Gsponer for the Swiss-German co-production ”Kiki & Tiger”.
A total of eight first-time feature films were invited to the festival with French director Bernard Stora presiding over the jury. The winner of the festival, “On dirait le sud”, also recently won the 2003 Swiss Film Prize in the category of “Best Feature Film”.
