Georges Gachot’s documentary film about Swiss doctor was presented in Pnohm Penh, with the Cambodian King in attendance.

The festivities honouring Beat Richner’s 20-year humanitarian vision in Cambodia opened with the premiere of “L'ombrello di Beatocello” in Pnohm Penh on September 21. Director Georges Gachot and Beat Richner had the honour of welcoming King Norodom Sihamoni personally at the screening, which was organised by the royal court.

Georges Gachot has followed the story of the doctor and cellist, whose stage name is “Beatocello,” and his children’s hospitals in Cambodia in several films since 1996.
