Born in Zurich, Switzerland. He graduated in cinematography from the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg in 2015. His first feature fiction film as cinematographer, SYSTEM CRASHER (2019) was Germany’s Oscar entry and won eight Lolas. Other notable films include SPACE DOGS (2019), BLACK NIGHT (2022), and THE POET’S WIFE (2021). His recent work, THE OUTRUN (2024) by director Nora Fingscheidt, premiered at Sundance, was BAFTA-nominated and received multiple BIFA nominations, including Best Cinematography. Currently in post-production are A HAPPY FAMILY directed by Jan-Eric Mack and AL BASEER directed by Ali Al Fatlawi. He is based in London and Berlin.
