Born in 1975 in Zurich, Switzerland. He studied press photography at the MAZ, the Swiss School of Journalism. After a permanent employment as a press photographer at the Luzerner Zeitung, he went freelance in 2001 and photographed for various national and international newspapers and magazines. Today he works as a filmmaker, multimedia reporter and cameraman. The focus of his freelance work is on reportages and portraits from Switzerland and the whole world. He likes to keep an eye on long-term stories. He completed his Master of Arts in Film at the HSLU (Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art) in 2023.
