Saman Hosseinpuor was born in 1993 in the Kurdistan province of Iran. At the age of 15, he made his first high school short film, BLUETOOTH, which earned him the silver medal for directing at the Qasedak Film Festival in Tehran. He then began studying Cinema at the university and has since worked on over 45 films in various capacities. He has written and directed 11 short films.
