Overproduction: Less is More – "Dear child" may have many names, but why is it urgent to address this pressing issue acknowledged by many? Today, more than twice as many films are produced for the traditional distribution model compared to twenty years ago. Yet, paradoxically, cinema attendance has declined. Key stakeholders across the value chain grapple with the overwhelming volume, aspiring to everything from fostering more European blockbusters to enhancing curation of film repertoires.
