Série inspirée de faits réels. En proie à une dépression post-partum, Tania décide de renouer avec sa mère Christine, ancienne enfant placée au passé douloureux. Ensemble, elles plongent dans les archives des services sociaux et découvrent que Rose, la mère de Christine est morte dans de troubles circonstances.
