A young Cuban couple, both doctors, would like to leave the island, but the State prohibits it. For six years the authors follow the protagonists with their camera. Finally the woman receives a permit for a short stay in Switzerland. During the weeks of separation they exchange video messages. These impressions from Cuba and Switzerland serve as the basis of the film. Their feelings are a manifestation of the inner anxiety of two people who would go to any lengths to take control of their environment even if the thought of forcibly breaking free from the past fills them with fear.
