Franz Treichler Plays Dada - Friday 20 September, 20.30, Arnolfini Auditorium

Franz Treichler, founder of the legendary Swiss band The Young Gods, performs a live soundtrack for an overview of experimental films of the 20th century, screened on 16mm film. For this project, the guitarist has re-scored films by instigators of the Dada Movement (Hans Richter, Man Ray), artists affiliated with the Fluxus movement like James Riddle, and works by Jean Painlevé, Martin Arnold and Stan Brakhage.

On-stage Session with Isabelle Favez - Wednesday 18 September, 12.30, Watershed Cinema 2

During this session you will get the chance to see some of Isabelle’s work and hear about her creative process: from how she develops stories for animated films to her close collaborations with the editor, sound designer and music composer.

On-stage Session with Marie-Elsa Sgualdo - Friday 20 September, 13.30, Watershed Cinema 3

During this session you will get the chance to see four of her short films and hear about her career and body of work.

Yves Netzhammer Triptychon 2013 (Installation) - Thursday 19 September, 11.00-17.00, Arnolfini Dark Studio

Formal Conscience (2013) ends the Trilogy started 2011 with Dialogical Abrasion and followed in 2012 by Peripheries of Bodies, within which Swiss artist Yves Netzhammer tries to analyse possible interaction between man and his surroundings.
Yves Netzhammer will be in conversation with Arnolfini Curator of Exhibitions Axel Wieder on Thu 19 Sept at 17.15 in the Dark Studio.
The Installation can be visited from Friday 20 September to Sunday 22 September, 11.00 to 18.00.
