Kacey Mottet Klein

Born 1998 in Lausanne to an American father and a Swiss mother, Kacey Mottet Klein grew up in Switzerland. At the age of 10 he was cast for Ursula Meier's film "Home" and he gave his onscreen debut alongside Isabelle Huppert. Kacey was awarded with the Swiss Film Award for this first role. Since then he has appeared in several acclaimed European films. "Gainsbourg - Vie héroïque" by Joann Sfar (2010), in which Kacey playes the young Gainsbourg, got him known in France. For his role in "Sister" by Ursula Meier (2012), which received a Silver Bear at the Berlinale, he was awarded with his second Swiss Film Award and nominated for the César. In 2015 he played the leading role in two films: in the Belgian-Swiss-French coproduction "Keeper" by Guillaume Senez and in "Une mère" by Christine Carrière alongside Mathilde Seigner. In André Téchiné's film "Quand on a 17 ans" (2016), he is the leading actor together with Sandrine Kiberlain.
