The Baldenweg siblings are the first Swiss composers to be nominated for the internationally renowned World Soundtrack Award in the category of Public Choice Award. Their composition for the Swiss fiction film “Zwingli” was nominated as the Best International Film Score. An international success story with prospects.

The Swiss composers and music producers Diego Baldenweg with Nora Baldenweg & Lionel Baldenweg made a name for themselves early on in advertising with their Great Garbo production company. They produced the music for countless advertising campaigns for customers all over the world for such global brands as Carlsberg, Mastercard, Nivea or UBS.

At the same time, they regularly composed for Swiss film productions as well. In 2011, the Baldenwegs were nominated for the Swiss Film Award for their soundtrack for the Swiss film 180° and in 2018 they were honoured with a Swiss Film Award for Best Film Score for their soundtrack for THE LITTLE WITCH. In 2018 they also achieved their international breakthrough: they composed the music for Till Schweiger’s international major production HEAD FULL OF HONEY. In 2019 the Baldenwegs worked for Netflix for the first time as composers of the complete score for the TV series THE UNLISTED, which will be launched worldwide in the next few weeks.

Now the Swiss-Australian sibling trio is on the brink of their next international success. With their soundtrack for ZWINGLI (C-Films), they have been nominated in the Public Choice Award category, together with four other renowned composers and their works for internationally successful blockbusters (HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, CAPTAIN MARVEL, CAPERNAUN or MINUSCULES). The World Soundtrack Awards will be presented as part of the Film Fest Gent on October 18, 2019.
