After his wife's battle with cancer, filmmaker Rafael Palacio Illingworth creates a hybrid narrative fictionalising her death. He turns the camera on his real family, inviting them into a role-playing experiment about absence and grief. In his fiction, the wife disappeared in the Swiss Alps leaving no trace behind. The call of the mountains haunts him until the day he ventures into the dangerous peaks with hopes of meeting her spirit one last time. The film navigates the space between auto-fiction and traditional narrative.
