Angels Camp is the overall title of a body of work based on a fictional story. The project consists of a full-length film (80'), a number of sound and video installations, photographs, objects, music and a novel. All these components work together like a family, whose members are both independent and closely inter-related. Angels Camp by Emmanuelle Antille will be given its first full showing in Venice. It is an impressive work made up of a number of different elements. In addition to the film that is its central feature, it consists of various video installations, a sound installation, a slide show, music, texts, a light box and photographs. Emmanuelle Antille not only wrote the work and directed it, but also sings in it. The music is by Honey For Petzi, a group from Lausanne. The exhibition catalogue, which is based on a scenario by Emmanuelle Antille, contains four short stories and texts about the songs she has written.
