In the unrecognized country of Nagorno-Karabakh, amidst the chaos of war, a cow gives birth. As the villagers gather their belongings and flee their homes, Zemfo, the newborn calf, is sold to livestock traders and embarks on a journey from Armenia to Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan, crossing shifting borders and constantly changing human landscapes.
