The film is not a scientific study, nor does it purport to comprehensively and conclusively address the topic of addiction. The film portrays the life of S.J., who has taken drugs for the past twelve years. The film also explores the trend of staging the individual, thanks to new technologies and media broadcast formats. S.J. presents herself, her life and her dealings with drugs in scenes she filmed herself – just like millions of others who publish their vacation videos and leisure activities on YouTube and similar sites. The film poses questions, but leaves decisions or judgements to the viewer. On the strength of the intimate insight the film provides, fixed views of dealing with marginal groups can be changed.
