Olimpico, small and skinny, wants to think of himself as a Don Juan. In reality he is a loser, and the only girl he manages to pick up is a “plain Jane” whose name is Maccabée. The two drift together in the direction of the zoo, where Olimpico makes a serious effort to win over Maccabée. But she is really more interested in the animals. The chance meeting of this odd pair begins to transcend reality as, strolling past the various cages, each is endowed with what he or she lacks.
